When the King returned to royal duties on September 3 following his summer break at Balmoral, Scotland, he made a devastating claim about his illness.

King Charles opened up the new Midland Metropolitan University Hospital, as he shared the heartbreaking update.

During a conversation with fellow ca:ncer patient, Matthew Shinda, Charles noted that ‘bits don’t work so well once you get past 70.’

The King’s ca:ncer diagnosis was announced last February, and since then, the Monarch has been receiving the very best treatment.

It hasn’t been revealed exactly what type of cancer the King was diagnosed with – seemingly a well-thought-through move by Charles.
