“The king’s decision not to reveal the type of cancer was a conscious choice to be able to reach out to the widest number of people who are experiencing the disease, rather than narrow the focus onto a particular form of cancer.”, a source told The Times in 2024.
Some photos of Charles out on the visit were spread on the royal family’s official Instagram account on Wednesday.
And fans quickly complimented the King.
One said: “Looking fantastic, Your Majesty.”
As another wrote: “Great to see His Majesty out and about.”
“Looking good King,” a third noted.
As one said: “Looking very well, Your Majesty. Hoping you are feeling well also.”

But it was on this visit that Charles shared about how he’s dealt with his diagnosis.
Charles noted that ‘half the problem is detecting it in time’ and added of the illness: “The great thing I think is they’re getting better and better.”
But giving some solemn words of wisdom, he said: “There’s always hope down the road.”
Speaking about his own health and treatment plan, the King said: “I’m not too bad.”
