Should You Wash Your Eggs Before Cooking
When Evan sat down for breakfast that morning, he expected nothing more than fried eggs and quiet conversation. But as he watched Mira crack the eggs directly into the pan without rinsing them first, a familiar voice from his childhood echoed in his mind:
“Always rinse the eggs.”
His mother had repeated that rule for as long as he could remember, and somewhere over the years it had turned into an unquestioned law.
So he mentioned it—casually. Too casually.
“Shouldn’t you rinse them first? My mom always did.”
He thought it was harmless.
Mira didn’t.
