Recipes Classic Homemade Mayo
Ingredients:
1 egg yolk (room temp)
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp lemon juice or vinegar
1 cup neutral oil (canola, sunflower, or light olive oil
Salt, to taste
Instructions:
In a bowl, whisk egg yolk, mustard, and lemon juice until smooth.
Slowly drizzle in oil while whisking constantly until thick and creamy.
Season with salt. Sandwiches, burgers, potato salad, chicken salad, deviled eggs.
Spicy Sriracha Mayo
Ingredients:
1 cup mayo (homemade or store-bought)
2–3 tbsp Sriracha sauce
½ tsp lime juice
Instructions:
Mix all ingredients until smooth.
Chill for 30 minutes before serving for best flavor. Sushi, poke bowls, fish tacos, fried shrimp, burgers, fries.
Garlic Aioli (Garlic Mayo)
Ingredients:
1 cup mayo
2–3 garlic cloves, roasted or minced
1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions:
Stir roasted or raw garlic into mayo.
Add lemon juice and mix well. Roasted potatoes, grilled vegetables, burgers, steak sandwiches, seafood.
Dill Mayo
Ingredients:
1 cup mayo
1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
1 tsp lemon juice
½ tsp garlic powder
Instructions:
Mix mayo with dill, lemon juice, and garlic powder.
Chill before serving. Salmon, tuna sandwiches, fish fillets, cucumber sandwiches, roasted veggies.
Honey Mustard Mayo
Ingredients:
1 cup mayo
2 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp honey
Instructions:
Whisk mayo, mustard, and honey together until smooth. Chicken tenders, pretzels, wraps, ham sandwiches, turkey burgers.
Lemon Herb Mayo
Ingredients:
1 cup mayo
1 tbsp lemon zest
1 tbsp fresh parsley + basil, chopped
Instructions:
Mix mayo with zest and herbs.
Adjust salt if needed. Grilled chicken, roasted veggies, crab cakes, Mediterranean wraps, fresh veggie dips.
Each of these can be made with either homemade classic mayo or a good-quality store-bought base.
These can be stored in the fridge (covered) for up to 1 week.
