The revelation: an antique meat grinder
To everyone’s surprise, the mysterious object was neither a rare industrial device nor a strange instrument, but an old-fashioned, manual meat grinder . A once indispensable kitchen utensil, now largely replaced by electric appliances and therefore forgotten by many.
This meat grinder was attached directly to a table or work surface using a clamp screw. The meat was placed inside and pressed through a perforated plate by turning a crank. Simple, efficient, and remarkably ingenious.
