You’ve probably seen this curious , almost transparent yellow brick at the supermarket and wondered what it’s for. Many of us remember yellow soap from our grandmothers, as it was widely used in their day, especially for laundry.
This excellent product has now fallen out of fashion, replaced by modern cleaning products, but many of us still appreciate its usefulness and effectiveness. Used mostly for laundry, yellow soap is actually very useful for cleaning the entire house .
Yellow soap is made from coconut oil and can be found in supermarkets, almost always under the “Alga” brand. It costs very little and, as you will see, it is an extremely versatile and useful product for household chores.
Doing laundry with a bar of soap
Dampen the stubborn stain on your clothes with a little water and rub it with a small amount of yellow soap to pre-treat it before doing laundry.
Place a small piece of soft soap into the drum and run a normal wash cycle. Besides being spotless and stain-free, your laundry will also have a delicious scent.
