Donald Trump dismissed Kamala Harris’ Secret Service protection.

A letter was sent to Harris, informing her that she would no longer have access to members of the Secret Service from 1 September.

The letter read: “You are hereby authorised to discontinue any security-related procedures previously authorised by Executive Memorandum, beyond those required by law, for the following individual, effective September 1, 2025: Former Vice President Kamala D. Harris.”

A senior advisor to Harris has since confirmed the discontinuation to NBC News, saying: “The vice president is grateful to the United States Secret Service for their professionalism, dedication, and unwavering commitment to safety.”

According to the BBC, she will lose agents assigned to protect her and her home in Los Angeles, as well as proactive threat intelligence, which is used to identify and prevent future threats.

Her spouse, Doug Emhoff, had his own safeguards expire on July 1 at the end of the legally permitted term, the source stated.

John Bolton, a former national security advisor, has also seen the privilege of Secret Service protection cease.

The announcement comes only days after Trump referred to the 76-year-old as a’real sort of low life’ after learning that FBI officials raided Bolton’s Maryland home.

It is believed that the Bolton raid was part of a larger probe into allegations that he used a private email server to convey ‘very sensitive’ classified information.

Earlier this year, the president rescinded protection for Hunter Biden, 55, and Ashley Biden, 44, the 46th president’s children.

At the time, Trump said: “Hunter Biden has had Secret Service protection for an extended period of time, all paid for by the United States Taxpayer.

“There are as many as 18 people on this Detail, which is ridiculous!”

He further stated that Ashley, who had ’13 agents’, had been ‘removed off the list’ despite her father’s executive order extending protection for his adult children until July 2025.
